Science is not a list of facts to be memorized, but the only way to make logical sense out of the uncertain world in which we live.  Here at Orozco Academy we strive to teach our students to examine the world around them and gain the ability to understand it in a meaningful and personal way.  To achieve this, we incorporate Laboratory Experiments, Technology, Hands on Activities, our Community Garden, and a variety of other media into every unit we cover.  Each of the upper grades has its own lab stocked with all manner of materials.  Our textbooks and workbooks are in both English and Spanish to better assist our English Language Learning students.  The curiosity of all students is encouraged as they learn Earth Sciences in sixth grade, Life Sciences in seventh grade and Physical Sciences in eighth grade.  They leave with a good base of knowledge about the world around them, and better yet, the ability to analyze it for themselves.
